Grange Arch, Steeple and Kimmeridge

Sunday 3 June

A fine day with remaining cloud over Swyre Head clearing as we left just after 12. We visited Grange Arch, a Grade 2 listed 'Building' the inner Ridgeway, Steeple village and church, with both the church and arch having their George Washington connections. The church's Barrel Organ is something special too.

Then on through the fields to the Kimmeridge Ridgway giving great views over the bay, Clavell's Tower, the Nodding Donkey and Portland.

Lunch at The Halfway in Norden was excellent as usual.

Next walk - Sun 8 July, 12:00 from The Riverhouse Inn in Upwey with a great Ridgeway walk overlooking Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay.
