Corfe Castle and Knowle Hill

Following a dubious week of weather, Friday was great and clear views.

We set off at 18:15 and although a step start to avoid any mud and get to the views as soon as possible, it was worth it!

Knowle Hill gave us great views of the Castle, Poole Harbour, Portland, Isle of Wight and down the valley to Swanage.

Even the lower path at the end was not too muddy and we ended up with great food and music at The Greyhound Inn.

Worth Matravers walk and summer schedule

We had a great walk around Worth Matravers in April and the weather was good. At the moment, the Swanage & Purbeck walking festival is coming to the end and although last Sunday was a wash-out, we have had generally good weather since and the feedback has been excellent.

Next walks: Friday 11 May, 18:15 start around Corfe Castle Ridgeways for 1 1/2 hours before eating ay The Greyhond Inn at about 8.

Then Sunday 3 June, a walk around Steeple and Kimmeridge with lunch at The Halfway Inn at Norden.

Regards.
