Grange Arch, Steeple Church and the Ridgeway

A lovely day, a great walk followed by lunch at The Halfway Inn at Norden.

Setting off from the Ridgeway car park at Creech, we dropped down through Steeple Leaze farm and along to Steeple Church and learn about its connection with George Washington and its unique barrel organ.

On up to the Kimmeridge Rd giving great views over the bay and Clavell's Tower before turning northwards, through the fields and up to the Ridgeway, enabling us to view Grange Arch, a grade II listed building and see Creech Grange in the valley below through the Arch.

The next walks are 10 July - Arish Mell, Bindon Hill and W Lulworth, lunch at the Red Lion in Winfrith then 11 September - Ashmore, the highest village in Dorset, Win Green with its all-round views followed by lunch at Compton Abbas airfield.

Happy walking!
