Kingston, Chapman's Pool and Houns Tout

Sunday was jus a great walking day.

We set off from the Houns Tout Car Park, which is just past the Scott Arms, now under new management. We walked east, back past the pub and across the fields, giving great views across Corfe Castle, the Ridgeways and Poole Harbour.

Turning south, we crossed the road and proceeded down the small valley to Chapman's Pool. After climbing the steps to Houns Tout, you benefit from great views along to Portland and east to St Alban's/St Aldhelm's Head. It is then an easy walk back along the ridge to Kingston.

Corfe Castle guided walk for Singles That Mingle

26 participants turned up which is certainly the biggest group I have guided and we started from the National Trust car park on the Warehan side of Corfe, right below the castle.

We took the short, steep climb up onto the Ridgeway to get the best of the views of Poole Harbour and the coast straight away. That was all the climbing done and we walked along the Ridgeway, down by the edge of Church Knowle and across the fields where we had an excellent lunch at Corfe Castle Model Village in West St.

Another great day with greats views and excellent company.

If you would like a guided walk for your work team or your group, just let me know.
