Tyneham, Wobarrow Bay and Flowers Barrow

This is a great area to visit. It has a flat path from Tyneham down to the bay and stunning views from the beach across to Mupe Bay and Portland.

Tyneham village is being enhanced and now has a Tyneham Museum. For more information on Tyneham, visit http://www.isleofpurbeck.com/tyneham.html

From the beach, you have the optional challenges of going up to Flowers Barrow fort to the right (a steep climb but take your time as it is worth it), or up Gadd Cliff to the left which gives great views looking east over Kimmeridge and on to St Alban's/St Aldhelm's Head.

With both options you have a circular route back to Tyneham with Flowers Barrow being the longer route back along the Ridgeway and down past Tyneham Chuch and the Victorian school room.

It is not expensive to park, has toilets and somer grassy areas for children to play as well as the old, deserted village to look around.
